Smartphones. Smart cars. Smart toilets? Don’t look now, but that’s precisely what manufacturers are ready to offer anyone who’s ever found themselves … indisposed yet still interested in what the weather is like in Italy.
Here’s a look at how our loos are about to change.
We’re definitely not in Kansas anymore. The Toto Neorest NX2 provides something few people realized they needed: a spa for their bottom. Here’s a toilet with:

Not smart enough for you? Kohler’s Numi 2.0 (please don’t giggle at the numbering) offers a toilet with Amazon’s voice assistant Alexa built in. That’s a good thing since Alexa enables you to request music to play out of the built-in speakers. Not every new toilet development favors extravagance. Some can help conserve water, prevent the spread of germs using touchless flushing technology, and stop overflows during clog problems. In fact, one toilet doesn’t even flush.
